Safety checklist: before, during, and after every lift
RackLift® is mechanical equipment. This is the floor, not the ceiling. Read the operator’s manual that ships with the unit.
Safety is the job. This checklist covers RackLift® device lifts and cabinet movers at every stage. It does not replace the operator’s manual.
Before
- 01Inspect the unit for damage, bent parts, loose hardware, worn straps, and caster condition.
- 02Confirm the load is under the rating for that model and that it is balanced and secured.
- 03Clear the path. Check floor condition; no cracks, oil, or missing tiles.
- 04PPE: steel-toe shoes, gloves, eye protection as the site requires.
- 05Review the procedure for this SKU. Charge electric models; confirm the status light.
During
- 01Stay with the controls. Auto-lock is not an invitation to walk away.
- 02Watch stability. Stop if the load walks.
- 03Keep people out from under a raised load. No riding the unit.
- 04Use both cabinet units. Never lift one end only.
- 05Move at walking speed. The aisle is not a racetrack.
After
- 01Lower fully before unstrapping.
- 02Store on charge if the unit is battery-electric.
- 03Report winch slip, caster damage, or a bent shoe before the next job.
- 04Note anything unusual in the site log.
